Happiness comes in the form of 3 day weekends.

                                          Weekend Update Special (Memorial Day) Edition.


Since I have limited time and about 12 hours of work to catch up on (not really but it kinda seems that way) I will make this short and sweet.

The first part of this weekend was spent getting ready for the second half of the weekend. Literally. It's crazy how 10 years ago, if we wanted to take a little weekend trip up to the lake, it would take 5 minutes, a duffel bag of clothes and a tooth brush and we were on the road. Now, it's a day long process.

Once we finally got there it was a lot of fun. The rain held off and there was a crisp feel in the spring air, but that's what is to be expected on Memorial Weekend in Minnesota. Well, that and sitting in hours of southbound traffic on the drive home Monday afternoon.

It was great to see my grandpa out and about. I have to say I was shocked. He was out walking around and sitting by the camp fire with us. It was a very nice surprise.

Ferny and Dubz got a round of golf in, too. From the sounds of it, they had a lot of fun, but I wouldn't know because I wasn't invited to go...no, I'm not bitter at all  :/

We had a great campfire, made s'mores, had tea parties, disturbed wood peckers, spot light dances, and did some four wheeling. Great weekend.
