R.I.P. Lil' Wayne

OK, OK, before anyone gets their panties in a bunch, this title is not referring to the Lil' Wayne.

A little over two years ago, we bought Sadie her first pet. He was a pretty little blue Beta fish. We decided that a very fitting name for him would be Lil Wayne (I think I have mentioned him in previous blogs). Well anyway, we discovered yesterday that Lil' Wayne finally went to meet his maker...

The night we first brought him home. Sadie looks so young in this picture!!

In other news, last weekend we had our bowling banquet. It was a good time. My hubby is the president of the league, so I identify myself as the First Lady :)  We didn't do as well as we hoped, but taking 3rd place overall is not too shabby.
Horrible photo, but here is Mister President with our friend Robbie who is also the head honcho at Sunray.

We also had a fun trip to the Mall of America. Sadie had fun at Build a Bear, and of course we had to make a stop at the "One Direction Store." She had to go in and have her picture taken with the "hotties." Oh, Lord help me...this little one is three going on thirteen, I swear. ;) I think Harry is her favorite though.

Ending on a positive note (sarcasm)...here is an outdoor shot on April 12th, in Minnesota. I think it is the year of the never ending winter.

Until we meet again.

Catching up

I'm long over-due because I've gone a few weeks without a blog entry. Today is a "Mommy leaves with Daddy day" as Sadie puts it. We have had the afternoon to ourselves (thanks to my sister and brother in law) and we are spending some serious quality time together...at Caribou...playing Facebook games and surfing the net. :) We plan on going out on the town tonight though, but we thought this would be a nice relaxing way to spend this rainy afternoon. It's rare that he has a Saturday off from work so it's been nice to just hang out together.

Last week was Easter Sunday. There were a few factors that made me think we were going to be sitting at home just the three of us, but it turned out to be a nice day. Sadie had some sort of virus going on. She was physically ill a couple of times and it really just knocked her out. Then my grandpa was having heart troubles again and was brought in to the hospital in Duluth. He had a double bypass surgery and thankfully everything seems to have turned out well. So come Easter Sunday Sadie was feeling alright and we decided to carry on with plans as scheduled.

You can see in her face that she wasn't 100%, but we still had fun dying the eggs.
In my eyes, she just gets more beautiful and grown up by the day.

Until we meet again.
