First of many

So, I've been wanting to start blogging for some time now. I used to keep a journal when I was in junior high and high school and I used to love it. I think I am going to make it my new weekend project. It's going to be a fun little outlet to keep people up to date on things that are going on with me/us, but truth be told, I'm sure I'll find time to write a little bit some week nights as well...

This weekend was very relaxing. We've had a little bit of a cold bug floating around the house the past few days, but it seems like it's on the way out. Sadie has been enjoying staying up late and sleeping in a bit in the morning...a girl after my own heart I tell ya. Before she was even thought of, I used to stay up until 2 or 3am any given day of the week and sleep until noon if I could. I cannot even recall the last time I did that, but I'll take 10am any day! It's so funny how much this little girl of mine has changed in just the last six months. She is so adventurous and outgoing, everything that I always hoped my child would be. We take her to the park and she makes a new friend each time. She'll go up to anther child and introduce herself and all of a sudden "so and so" is her new BFF. I also noticed something else lately when we take her to various parks. It actually makes me laugh sometimes because I feel as though Anthony is much more protective over her than I am at times. She will start climbing on something that is high up and he'll be right by her side "be careful honey," or "would you like some help?" Myself, I prefer to let her figure things out for herself and if she happens to get some bumps and bruises along the way, so be it. Let her gain some independence.

Another thought for the day...never go against the home team. Long story short, I don't think anyone expected the Vikings to pull it off against the 49ers today, myself included. So much so that I took the 49ers for our weekly football picks. Bad choice. I'm so sorry my Purple People Eaters, I will not forsake you ever again.

Until we meet again.
